Our Story

IWAVE was founded by a team of passionate designers, engineers, and water sports lovers. Frustrated by traditional watercraft that were noisy, polluting, expensive, and hard to learn — we set out to create something different.

We imagined a product that would be:

✅ Fully electric and sustainable
✅ Designed with performance and style in mind

After three years of design, engineering, and more than 200+ user tests on lakes, rivers, and open waters, the result is the Wavekart series — the world's most fun and approachable electric watercraft.

IWAVE at Yale

IWAVE was proudly born at Yale University, where innovation and impact meet.

We are a 2024 cohort of the Tsai CITY Accelerator Program, and a 2025 Tsai CITY Summer Fellow team.

The Yale ecosystem has empowered our journey — from early prototypes to international pilots — supported by a community of creators and changemakers.
